Jaded, though honorable, even noble. Cowboy, tries to come across as a hardass, though actually quite compassionate in many ways. Has seen hell, and was not particularly impressed. Loves the sky (sea in Dax's case) more than anything, equating it with freedom. A pirate at heart, but would never hurt an innocent soul, certainly not for anything as meaningless as money. Hates all forms of The Man, and will often go slightly out of his way to screw him, but not usually to the point of recklessness. Has a hero's luck, which gets him into as much trouble as it gets him back out of. Has no tolerance for weakness or idleness among his crew, but loves a beer and a yarn as much as the next guy. Seems to attract barfights. Sucker for redheads.
