Annie Sawle appeared on Coronation Street in March 2010 as Sandra, landlady of The Farmer's Nag public house in the Lake District. She returned to the programme in September 2013 as a Rehabilitation Nurse, during the hospitalisation of Nick Tilsley. Other screen credits include roles in Heartbeat, The Chase and the short film Let Me Go, she has appeared extensively on stage in productions including One Night With You, Happy Families, Elsie's Story, Life's a Beach, Ladies Day, Ladies Down Under, Honeymoon Suite, Happy Jack, Weekend Breaks, Housebound and A Big Day for the Goldbergs.
