He and his two best friends plot to kill their bosses for various reasons. Nick's boss, Dave Harken, actually ends up killing his friend Kurt's boss, Bobby Pellett, suspecting him of having an affair with his wife. Nick manages to record Harken's confession, and he is arrested for Pellett's murder. Even so, Nick gets revenge on Harken by punching him in the face and mocking him about that he will be getting the promotion to Senior Vice President, even if Harken only lied about it. Nick becomes Senior Vice President and sees that CEO Louis Sherman, who is his new boss, does treat him better than Harken does but soon, it turns out Sherman is also an evil boss, just not cruel to Nick (or at least not yet).
