Marine of the Mists, written by then-Lieutenant Commander Reeka Chorizzo, was a biographical account of retired Gunnery Sergeant Tuffass's life with the Republic Marines. Reeka chose to author the Gand's biography due to the fact that Tuffass was one of the first of his species to encounter the Republic and to get his opinion on the state of the Marine Corps in the wake of the recent Mandalorian and Jedi Civil Wars. This book, penned some time after Goodnight Brain, Wherever You Are..., attracted the attention of the Commandant of the Marines, which earned Reeka a career in the Corps' Public Relations Bureau.
