Project Onyx was the name given to the research and development of the Imperial Onyx troopers. It was in essence a reiteration of the dark trooper project. The project was halted when the scientists working on it were killed or captured upon the fall of Base Talon, where research on the project largely took place. A few other Imperials would later unsuccessfully try to resurrect the project.
