Gerry Mill worked as a director on Coronation Street with 12 episodes in 1969, 1972 and 1973. He began his television career at the BBC as a floor manager and production assistant on series such as Hancock's Half Hour and Doctor Who, directing the latter series once he'd graduated to that role. He also directed Z Cars, A Family at War, FollyFoot, The Brothers, Doctor on the Go, The Duchess of Duke Street, Crown Court, The Gentle Touch and Robin Hood He has both produced and directed episodes of Heartbeat.
