When Vanessa Ferguson stopped at a truck stop outside Las Cruces, New Mexico, she noticed a couple of Bradley Fighting Vehicles along with a number of soldiers guarding the stop with the vehicles' cannons trained over the parking lot. The I-10 she had gotten off was Los Angeles' lifeline and the US Government was making sure there wasn't any trouble.
