Sakson was born in Aspen, Colorado and received a Young Artist Award nomination in 2000 for Best Performance in a TV Movie or Pilot - Young Actor Age Ten or Under for his portrayal of Darwin McCausland in the television fantasy film Don't Look Under the Bed on which Jill Rockow and Rick Stratton worked in the make-up department. Sakson made his first on-screen appearances in the television movie For the Future: The Irvine Fertility Scandal (1996, with Castulo Guerra, Alicia Coppola, Lisa Chess, Marva Hicks, and Cristine Rose) and the comedy Trojan War (1997, with Allan Graf and Mary McCusker).
