In 1443, Lyman Kurlow was hanged as a horse thief. The next few centuries, he made his way as a thief and murderer, until he took a young Immortal, Peter Matlin as a student in 1671. The two combined forces and remained in partnership until 1994, continuing their joint criminal career. Kurlow's trademark was a white strand of hair. His preferred method of operation was to kill people by strangling them with a scarf or piece of cloth. 1805 Kurlow and Matlin met a young English nobleman, who wouldn't inherit any of his family's estate because he was not firstborn, but the second child.
