The South Quarter Mining Refinery was a refinery on the planet of Onderon. In the month prior to the outbreak of the Onderon Civil War in 3951 BBY, the refinery exploded. Onderon's queen, Talia, did not make any public appearances for some time after the incident which, royal officials claimed, was one of three recent assassination attempts against her. News reports later warned of the escape of one of the suspected saboteurs, an Iziz Comm journalist.
