The Church of the Contained Crescent was one of the many religious organizations active on Jedha. At one point, the Church occupied the Catacombs of Cadera, in which they notably added a latticed window. Eventually, years prior to Saw Gerrera's settlement on Jedha, the Church abandoned the catacombs.
