The Brusilov Marker was one of the countless ancient Red Markers made by the extinct alien race of Tau Volantis. It was found on planet and brought on board the CMS Brusilov to be tested and studied on. However, the testings were halted as the Scenario Five was commenced. The Marker was left in the ship with all the testing equipment left on it as the life support was disabled and the crew executed for the next 200 years, until Isaac and Carver decided to investigate something strange that happened to Carver.
