An Intelligence Memorandum (IM) is a text-based briefing or information-sharing product, generally for senior management officials. To achieve brevity, much of the underlying reporting and analysis in the memos are condensed to provide the audience with an essential understanding of the threats, as well as the actions proposed or actions already taken by the FBI to counter such threats.
