The scholltler (pronounced "skolter") was a creature native to Advan. It was a four-legged flying mammal that was intelligent enough to learn languages. About the size of a medium dog, it was able to fly, but since they were quadrupedal, they didn't learn to operate much machinery or able to live in other places. They were closely related to dragons, but neither did they breathe fire, nor were reptilian. Not much was known about their culture, language, or abilities.
