Crippling gear, known in Japan as Limiter (リミッタ Rimitta?), is a type of training equipment used by motorball players. Alita trained with the gear prior to her practice match against Ajakutty using three dummies. It was equipped onto her motorball body by Umba and consisted of additional gear weight and a power limiter. Despite the limitations imposed, she destroyed vertebrae on two and inflicted internal damage on the third using the Hertza Haeon, greatly impressing Umba.
