Ella Ruth Gantt (née Allison; 30 November 1886?/1888 – 28 October 2001) was an American woman who might have been the world's oldest person at the time of her death. Ella Ruth Allison was born in White County, Georgia on 30 November 1886?/1888 as the daughter of Benjamin and Alma Ida Alexander. She married Oscar Langston in Georgia around 1909 and had four children: Alma, Geneva, Freddie and Joseph. She was widowed in 1947. After the death of her husband she remarried to Winfred Talmadge Gantt on 13 January 1952. Ella Gantt died in Gainesville, Hall, Georgia on 28 October 2001, aged 112/114? years, 332 days.
