Richard Andrew Balfe, Baron Balfe (born 14 May 1944) is a retired politician. He entered politics as a Labour Party member of the Greater London Council, representing from Dulwich 1973 – 1977 and was appointed Chair Thamesmead New Town Committee 4 May 1973 and of Housing Development 13 May 1975. He made two unsuccessful attempts to win seats for Labour in the UK Parliament: at Paddington South in 1970 and at Southwark and Bermondsey in 1992.
