Battleground: Earth was Gene Roddenberry's original title for Earth: Final Conflict. It was changed because the John Travolta film Battlefield Earth went into production at the same time and the producers did not want there to be any confusion. Among the documents discovered by Majel Barrett after Gene's death were these three pages. The first is a general concept for what would become Battleground: Earth. The remaining two are a series of questions that Gene wanted the series to tackle.
