Chronometric radiation is a form of radiation indicative of alterations in the timeline. As the universe attempted to stabilize, the levels of radiation would shrink, approaching zero. At Stardate 4575.9 the crew of the USS Enterprise encountered a swarm of linked units that artificially aged stars with Chronometric radiation to the point that they would expand or enter the supernova phase of their life so that the units could harvest the released stellar matter in order to refuel themselves and increase their numbers through replication.(TOS comic: "Swarm")
