The unnamed Nursing Sister worked in the Southport psychiatric hospital where Bert Tilsley had been staying for several months since his mini-stroke and later disappearance to Bristol. Wife Ivy was summoned to the hospital as his condition suddenly deteriorated and was with him when he died. Son Brian was summoned there where the sister offered him a cup of tea if he wanted to stay and comfort Ivy but Brian was only interested in getting her home. The sister advised him to get in touch with the family doctor as soon as he could as he could take over matters from there.
