Surtees Steading was a Grayson steading, or feudal province. In 1907 PD, the ruling Steadholder Surtees joined some of his fellow members of the Conclave of Steadholders in opposition to the reforms conducted by Protector Benjamin IX. A firebomb attack against Grayson Sky Domes, Ltd. property took place in Surtees Steading the day after the Winston Mueller Middle School dome collapsed, with losses estimated to be around eight million austins.
