Solar power plants are buildings in Tropico 4: Modern Times that take the place of wind turbines. By default, they generate 100 megawatts of power. This can be increased by buying more solar panels. These are arguably the best structures for power generation. They require no workers whatsoever, have low upkeep, and don't require expensive imports. Their only downside is their large size, which limits where they can be placed.
