The Goldpiece has a legal tender that is universally accepted in the whole world because of its stability and a face value equal to its gold content. In the original Grandia, the Goldpiece were first introduced by the Mogay who use it with incredible skill in trading and selling. However, humans also use the currency in their transactions. The Goldpiece was only introduced in post-Angelouian times, as some Grandia Species like the Icarians, Mermaids, etc. don't use the currency.
