1330, the Cearantis where unheard of before this event. After finding a stone in Subterra, Roge discovered it contained powerful magics, going to the aid of a great Sorcerer, Maldrick, they cast a spell to open a portal using the stone. Unfortunately it resulted in the escape of the Cearantis, devilish, nocturnal creatures that feasted on the flesh of Maldrick and all his fellow summoners. Roge closed the portal and slew as many Cearantis as she could, however many escaped, and there extremely high birth-rate made them a serious problem within a week.
