Allura's magic orb is an object given to Poet Smurf by the evil witch Allura in the cartoon show episode "The Lure Of The Orb". The orb was supposed to give heightened inspiration to whoever touched the orb, but in reality it gave its users a temporary boost in energy similar to the effect of amphetamines and a feeling of euphoria, after which it passes, leaving the user physically drained and addicted to its power. With increased use of the orb, its effects last for shorter periods of time until it requires constant touching of the orb to maintain any sense of stability.
