Gem Fall is the fifth challenge in Challenge mode. It becomes available by completing the first puzzle of Chain Reaction. The puzzles of Gem Fall involve making cascades (matches of gems that create additional matches). Certain puzzles also prohibit the use of Special Gems; clearing them negates any progress made toward the puzzle status. However, no penalties occur for creating Special Gems in those puzzles. Completing the first puzzle of Gem Fall unlocks Preserver, the next challenge in Challenge mode.
