In the mirror universe, the Taurus Reach was a region of space bordered by the Terran Empire, the Klingon Empire, and the Tholian Assembly. Although all three powers laid claim to the area, it was the Terran Empire which had done the most to substantiate its claim through establishing several colonies in the region, as well as the construction of Vanguard Station or Starbase 47.
