During his leave on the station, he sat at a table in the bar to the right of his senior officer Korax, who instigated a fight between himself and Starfleet officer Montgomery Scott. After Korax flew across the table where they say, he and his fellow officers fought against a number of USS Enterprise crewmen. He spent the majority of the fight brawling with Ensign Pavel Chekov, standing up to a barrage of punches from Chekov before tossing him across the table and ultimately giving him a black eye.
