Embrus "the Old" was so named because even though he was only the second son of Faerlthann Obarskyr, he was the sixth king of Cormyr after his father for some reason declared him to be last in the line of succession, and was a ripe 49 years old when he took the throne in 79 DR after his younger brother Rhiiman died without an heir.
