As a cadet in the 2340s decade, Kyprios had taken part in the Starfleet Academy Marathon. In the 2370s, Kyprios held the rank of captain in Starfleet and commanded the USS Endeavour. In the year 2371, Captain Kyprios was concerned when he learned Counselor Constance Barnes was to attend a reunion of the crew of the USS Saratoga.
