Tulom-Itzi was a city in Far Payit in Maztica. The city was once a thriving metropolis but by the mid–14th century was inhabited by only a fraction of the people who once lived there. The inhabitants, the Itzas, lived in wooden huts and had allowed the jungle to reclaim many of the great stone buildings. In 1362 DR, the city was overrun by Darien's army of giant ants and the inhabitants were forced to flee the city. Tulom-Itzi was ruled by Zochimaloc until he sacrificed himself to stop Darien.
