The unnamed Receptionist worked at the clinic within Weatherfield General where Tracy Barlow went to have an abortion in September 2011. The father, Steve McDonald, asked the receptionist if she knew whether Tracy had had the abortion yet or not. She claimed she could not give any information but told him that all of that days patients had been and gone. Steve was gutted as he had decided he wanted the baby but it later turned out Tracy hadn't gone through with the procedure after all.
