The HMS Resolute was an English ship of the line. When it was pillaged by pirates, the Americans sent it back to Queen Victoria, and her majesty had 2 desks made from the ship's wooden hull. These twins now stand resolute, one in Buckingham Palace, and the other in the Oval Office.
