System for Award Management (SAM) is a federal government-wide procurement system that (1) acts as a single authoritative data source for vendor, contract award and reporting information; (2) streamlines the business processes; (3) provides for the reuse of data rather than reentering of the same data across different capabilities; and (4) provides a single username and password for access to all capabilities.
