The Beast of Darkness is the manifestation of the darkness within Guts' soul. As an amalgamation of Guts' pure hate, sorrow and fear, it relentlessly attempts to overtake his mind. Whenever Guts dons the Berserker Armor, the Beast takes physical form through the armor and imbues Guts with unnatural power and strength.
