As a gimmick, Wesley Eure had himself billed as simply "Wesley" in the credits of Land of the Lost (1974). This ploy hardly worked as intended; in fact, Eure regrets the effort to this day. Eure was hired by ABC to play Gopher on The Love Boat, but at the last minute, NBC refused to share him, as he was starring on Days of Our Lives. Eure was also the host of the Nickelodeon game show Finders Keepers for its first season (1987/88).
