Bet interrupts Alec's meeting with Cecil to apologise to Cecil for running off. She tells Cecil she's marrying Alec. Alec thinks she's ruining their chances of getting the Rovers. Jenny passes all her 'O' Levels, getting four 'A's, three 'B's and a 'C'. Alan is delighted. Cecil stuns Alec by saying that he wasn't going to give him the tenancy as he's a businessman and not a host, however, as he's marrying Bet there'll be no problem as she's a natural. Cecil tells him the tenancy is definitely his. Alec and Bet celebrate.
