Once the jutsu is cast, the illusion traps the target in a world entirely submerged in water. The target then struggles to breathe but is unable to do so and upon seeing the surface, tries to swims toward it, but is pulled back down by an unseen force that keeps on dragging the target deeper and deeper into the submerged world until the target drowns and is completely unconscious due to the lack of air to breathe, this jutsu seems to cause the target in the real world to go unconscious as well.
