The 2015–16 season is Reading's 145th year in their existence and third consecutive season in the Championship. Along with competing in the Championship, the club will also participate in the FA Cup and League Cup. The season covers the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016. This season Reading FC will be creating an opus to commemorate the 2005-2006 season in which they totalled a record breaking 106 points to achieve promotion to the Premier League for the first time.
