Candius was a lush planet in the Mid Rim with what were described as beautiful countrysides and lush rolling hills. It was said to be one of the more beautiful and peaceful planets in the territory of the Galactic Republic. The planet was caught up in the Battle of Candius approximately six months after the start of the Clone Wars due to an invasion by the Mandalorian Clans. Notable participants in the battle included Obi-Wan Kenobi, Annikin Skywalker, Padmé Naberrie and Crispin Hadaack.
