As part of multiple merchandise released to promote Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion, the Metroid lanyard was released. It is a 7 1/2 x 12 1/2 card, meant to be attached to a lanyard. The double-sided card depicts artwork of Samus Aran in Metroid Prime (in which she is charging forward) or Metroid Fusion (crouching on the ground). The words "ASK ME ABOUT" are featured above Samus on both sides, in orange (Prime) and blue (Fusion). The Prime Samus appears to be against Tallon IV in the background, while the Fusion Samus is before the Biologic Space Laboratories research station in space.
