The ancient religion of the people of Judea, and the current religion of about 13 million peole worldwide. Theirs was the largest monotheistic religion of the ancient world. The Jewish people were believed to have been subjects of the Egyptian Empire for a time. At some point, they left Egypt and roamed the Sinai Desert. They settled in a place called Israel, which become Palestinea under Roman rule.
