In the mirror universe, Robert Bennett was a Terran admiral in the Imperial Starfleet of the Terran Empire during the late 23rd century. In 2288, he attended a secret meeting at the home of Admiral Lance Cartwright, at which he drank a good deal of Romulan ale. The meeting was the start of a conspiracy to depose Emperor Spock. Bennett urged caution, as he did not want to risk turning Spock into a martyr of the people. His role in the conspiracy was discovered when his accomplice General Quiniven was exposed using a captured Klingon mind-sifter. He and his fellow conspirators, including Cartwright, Colonel Ivan West, Admiral Thomas Morrow and General Salliserra zh'Ferro were executed. (TOS - Mirror Universe novel: The Sorrows of Empire)
