A star map was a device that contained astrological information regarding the location of various objects and planets throughout the galaxy. According to a legend told to Annikin Skywalker by an unidentified Republic pilot, a Jedi Knight called Revan traveled to Tatooine to find a hidden star map that supposedly told him the location of an ancient super-weapon.
