The Earldom of New Dijon was a Manticoran peerage. The Earl in the early 20th Century PD was a member of the Liberal Party who maintained a public position of distance and independence from the the High Ridge government. His actual voting record was rather different. As the negotiations between Manticore and Haven became more confrontational, he and the Opposition expressed concern regarding the progress and prospects of the negotiations. Earl North Hollow indicated that New Dijon could be brought to support the High Ridge Government more fully if approached properly. (HH10)
