Haomos was originally a member of the Fire Lizards until he was slain by Omaroch d'Zarnagon. He and his companions were resurrected as liches in new host bodies by Kareth d'Zarnagon in 1003 AE and were tasked with protecting Xerathas d'Zarnagon. He became one of the Prophets of the Grey Cult after Xerathas rose to power, and he has been hunting anyone with demonic bloodline throughout Aison ever since. He was responsible for starting a manhunt for Ronove Thanadar and bringing the island of Delphi under the cult's control in 1016 AE. Haomos succeeded in the latter but failed in the former because Nesa Mikoto managed to flee with Ronove before the Prophet's minions could catch them.
