Aside from news, the website also featured videos and polls related to the series as well as being a portal to all Battlefield game websites where they were available for purchase. Many features of the website as well as BFHQ were incorporated into Battlelog which released alongside Battlefield 3 in 2011. It continued to be used for several more years until the last news story was released on October 30, 2014 where it was completely replaced by Battlelog afterwards. On November 7, 2015 it was announced on the website that it would be permanently shutdown on November 28, 2015 and that archived news would no longer be available to view.
