S-Thread Trackers were homing beacons employed by Imperial Intelligence. They were often concealed in cargo containers that were known to be heading to Alliance to Restore the Republic bases. However, due to the remote location of the bases, the trackers usually only narrowed the location of the base down to the nearest ten parsecs.
