Al's was a typical stop for galactic traders and merchants, and as such the proprieters chose to advertise in Spacelanes, a periodical publication in the late 23rd century. The Al's ad promised a "scenic" location, and food and drink that that was "aromatic", "refreshing" and "nutritious". An image of an attractive female humanoid employee was also included in the ad.
