Rita Gratton appears in The He in the She. Her husband was JP Gratton, she waited for him to get out of prison and to sober up. But, when he did achieve that she found that he seemed more interested in Patricia Ludmuller. When Patricia went for a swim, Rita took out the boat that JP had fixed up for her and hit Patricia with it. Then she turned around and hit her again, Patricia tried to reach up and grab the side of the boat, but Rita broke her fingers with an oxygen canister. She was arrested for the murder by Booth and Brennan.
